Sloans Lake Sunset Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is one of the first photos I took out of my digital SLR. Taken in Sloans Lake Park in Denver. The lake on this is frozen so the geese in the scene were literally able to walk on water

Paul,
I generally don't even open sunset photographs, but this one is really beautiful. The clouds above, the frozen lake below, the range of mountains and the sky form a series of horizontal lines that give a geometricity to the whole image. Even the geese form a horizontal line!
Perhaps the person on the right is a bit disturbing, if -like myself - you love nature scenes unspoilt.

All these horizontal lines look very good.
I agree with other critique - the person on the right looks a bit out of place. Maybe worth cropping out ?

J'aime les couleurs du ciel et de son reflet. Les oiseaux semblent suivre l'ombre qui part sur la droite.

you've done a great job capturing such an intense sunset. I don't think the photo seeds the person in silhouette, but other than that it looks amazing.
