Photographer's Note
Denver displays a lot of large pieces of public art. 'Wheel' by Hock E Aye Vi Edgar Heap of Birds is outside the Denver Museum of Art. There are 10 trees with text and imagery relating to the history of indigenous people such as North American Indians. Each tree covers a different theme, from conflict over precious resources to global cooperation.
Difficult light conditions but I thought the subject matter was worth a TE post.

Hello Ann,
beautiful art work.I´ve seen many of such sculptures or art installations during my visit in Chicago. They help to enliven urban landscapes.
This one is really interesting and provides us with excellent color contrast to the rest of composition. You handled also well with difficult lighting condition.
Have a nice sunday

Your handing of the difficult conditions is excellent Ann. A really strong statement as the artist intended.
Lovely colour and contrast too.

Hi Ann, Very interesting idea of these red trees. It reminds me the times when I read so many books about the North American Indians (looong time ago). Nowadays the kids are not interested in it. Fantastic contrast of the red with the snow. Beautiful presentation of the street art. maybe difficult light conditions but the result is great.
Warm regrads

Hello Ann,
The lighting conditions might have been difficult but the oblique lighting is superb and shows these structures perfectly. You have managed the light well with spot-on exposure, lovely vibrant colours and stunning sharpness.
Yes, this one was definitely worth posting!
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Ann,
Excellent artwork showing 4 Ys. Nice bright red colors look beautiful on the white snow. It must have been interesting to read what is written on each tree. The quality of the image is excellent under difficult light conditions.

Hi Ann, Super image of this display of unusual Art depicting the past history and goings on. Splendid colours and well managed light, love the shadows and snow left on one of the Text tree's. The red stands out proud in this. Tfs, Cheers Iain.

Hi Ann
At first I thought from the orange color that this was taken at the same spot at the Denver Art gallery that I went past, but these Y shaped sculptures are quite different:http://www.treklens.com/viewphotos.php?l=7&p=548079
The snow accentuates the graphism. Good exposure on the white highlights, with no oe. Tfs!

Ann
Una bella foto ed una triste storia.
Gli indiani d'America e le loro terre.
Adesso un monumento e ricordi.
Il colore rosso del sangue e ...una foresta di "Y"
Ottimo documento e condivisione .
