Photographer’s Note
According to an American Indian Legend, if anyone desires a wish to come true they must first capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it. Since a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal the wish to anyone. In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom, the Great Spirit always grants the wish.
My wish was that the butterful would stay put for the 90 seconds it took me to get set up for this shot, It seems my wish was granted--Keith

nice photo, Keith...hard to get any butterfly to sit still for a while, but I am not sure that it is a Monarch....the wing patterns just are not right, nor is the colouring.

Hello Keith,
I missed your photo here. You have a marvelous photo of the butterfly and our native Colorado vegetation. Very sharp and well-composed also. Beautiful!
Stan
