Photographer’s Note
A late afternoon shot of the monolithic red rocks, known as the "Garden of the Gods", just outside the town of Colorado Springs.
"The name of the park dates back to August 1859 when two surveyors helping to set up nearby Colorado City were exploring the nearby areas. Upon discovering the site, one of the surveyors, M. S. Beach, suggested that it would be a "capital place for a beer garden." His companion, the young Rufus Cable, awestruck by the impressive rock formations, exclaimed, "Beer Garden! Why it is a fit place for the gods to assemble. We will call it the Garden of the Gods." The beer garden never materialized, but the name stuck.[3]
In 2006 a dinosaur species discovered there, was named after the park: Theiophytalia kerri."

Hello Chris,
A good point of view making excellent use of the slightly curving track as a lead-line. I like the light and the natural unsaturated colours. Good sharpness.

Olá Chris, actually the two big red rocks seen in the background resemble the shape of dinosaurs - the one on the right could be a stegosaur (don't know the spelling). Nice combination of colors and fine perspective of the way at right leading us to the monoliths.

Hi Chris,
The curve of the path is an asset to the composition. The point of view takes our eyes toward the red rocks and to the hill in the background which is giving depth to the photo. The trees are a natural frame to the rocks. The light brings out the different tints of colors of the scenery. have a nice day.

Another great photo from your trip - and it seems that you really got around. I've never heard of this place before, but it looks very interesting with those strange formations. I like the contrast of colours too, between the red rocks and the yellow grass and blue sky. Nice work!

Hi Chris,
The little hook in the road makes for a fine lead-in to the impressive red rocks.
The lively green, red and blue colors make for a lovely contrast.
