Photographer’s Note

The train ride through the Royal Gorge alongside the Arkansas River is spectacular. Not only did we have the walls of the Gorge presssing in on us we had people white water rafting on the river beside us. The suspension Bridge in the photo, taken from the train, is said to be the worlds highest aT 1053feet above the river below. It was built in 1929 at a cost of $350,000, today that cost would exceed $15 million. The bridge is so well built that from above it is difficult to realise that height of it, from below it looks very flimsy.
Photo has been cropped a little and is otherwise as taken. The moon is also in the photo.
