Photographer’s Note
"You will find Skyline Drive just west of Cañon City or about 5 miles east of The Royal Gorge Bridge. About 1905 convict labor built the two and one-half mile Skyline Drive that rides the hogback behind the penitentiary. The one way road on the crest of a Dakota sandstone ridge six hundred feet above the land below, is well worth the few minutes of a visitor's time it takes to travel the loop and re-enter Cañon City. Follow the sign at the end of Skyline Drive to US 50, you will be on 5th Street just a few blocks from Main Street. Be sure to look for the Dinosaur Tracks along this must see drive."

The Skyline Drive "IS A MUST" if you visit Cañon City.
If you don't have the courage to drive, do as many of the people in this area do: WALK.

Hi Paul,
Interesting subject you give us here, for some reason it makes me think of the Great Wall (China)... Your POV gives a good impression of this road, and also the surrounding landscape and village... Good colours and details!

Like Paul this does leave the impression of the Great Wall of China. This is a good composition, looking down the road, the blue mountains in the background.

Very good shot, impressive road on the edge of the mountain. Great perspective and depth. Good POV. Very well captured, with nice colors and sharpness.
Well done Paul.

Ha ha, funny, sort of a cartoony road à-la-Road-Runner, Bip-bip.... Voooooschhh.....Not feeling very steady on your road.
I found your picture because I was looking for pictures made with the new Canon PowerShot A 620, but none so far. I use the Canon PowerShot A 80 like yours for two years now and love it so much (it fell a few times) so I bought a new one, just in case, because I am afraid they won't run the twistable addictive LCD screen anymore soon.
I intend to go to Colorado this summer to attend a few powwows.
