Hello Rich,
This image reminds me of one that I took on the Sandy River in Oregon this year. I see that you may not have used a lens hood as there are sun spoys in the image, and the use of a polorizer would have incresed the color saturation and have taken the reflection of the light off the water and made it more appealing to the eye. Also, you may want to invest in a Neutral Density Filter, a G2 would benefit this type of image as it allows an even tone to a sometimes too bright area in an image.
