Photographer’s Note
This day was one of the coldest for quite a while in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. I took this in mid afternoon in the forest just below the Flatirons (Chautaugua Park & Trail).
The forest was amazing - very peaceful with snow falling off the trees, all very crisp and dry because of the cold.
It is taken on Kodak E100S film which believe it or not is a colour print film. I have not modified this shot, and the scene really was black and white just as you see!

Wow, I like this shot. The light area to the left highlights the falling snow. It's a beautiful monochromatic color shot!
