Photographer's Note

One of the most recognizeable images of the Colorado rockies is this view of Maroon Bells' reflection. Posted because there is only one other shot here on TE under an earlier light. This was taken in mid morning after a return hike to a much higher lake closer to the Bells. I have others with a better reflection, but in this one the polariser was rotated so that the reflection is less clear, but the stones at the bottom of the lake better visible. The Maroon Bells look like two separate mountains, but is considered one mountain with 2 peaks, Maroon Peak at 4315m., North Maroon Peak 4270m elev. Sorry if this looks too familiar I'm not trying to test anyones gag reflexes, and I am not sure if it was a good idea to show this. It may not be as pretty as the Pikes Peak sign, but too late now.
