You gotta love the wild west and only there can you experience a shoot out during the 4th of July Parade in Aspen, Colorado. It began to hail but the parade still went on for a short while longer. After this scene one of the cowboys lassoed some children who were sitting along the parade route. Quite alot of fun.
Aspen is a great place to visit any time of the year.

Interesting action scene and demonstration how much we westerners will go to see a parade or event, etc...
The lineup of parade viewers in multiple colors and umbrellas is a good contrast to the cowboy action.
I suspect their next parade will be even more exciting and interesting with Colorados's legalization of Cannabis Sativa?

That's a lot of dead cowboys littering the streets. At Bonnie Spring Ranch, about 15 miles west of Las Vegas, they have mock gunfights for the tourists. I like the mood, good lighting and dof with nice details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

A colourful and engaging take on this fascinating cowboy event you show us. You captured the action and dynamics very neatly. Lov' that gun smoke and the motion blur of the hind part of that horse. Very fine documentary photography! And thanxalot for the very kind and encouraging words you wrote yesterday ! Oh, I'll create a public ‘evocation in black whie’ theme.
Have a great start of the week,
Best regards from Rotterdam,
