Another scene from the Placerville Main Street car show. The auto here is probably a 1940s Ford, and interestingly the brick building behind it was built in 1893 by the Freemasons. They are a fraternal organization that traces its history back to the 14th century, describing Freemasonry's members as a "beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols. Most of their symbolism is from the tools of stonemasons, but not exclusively. Their main symbol is the square and compasses. They attach a moral lesson to each symbolic tool.
Notable historical American Freemasons were George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin.

I like your composition here with the old car in the foreground while allowing us to see the full height of the building behind. I think if you could have taken a couple of steps backward and included the full car not cut the foreground corner off the building the photo would be even better.

I see you came back from the parks to the city ;)
Good combination of the old car and old building. I have see a reflection of the another more older car. This photo reminds me "Wings&Wheels" show in Riverside.

It would be better with something more on the right and less on the left, but it is very nice like this too. Great thing to have the old car and interesting background. I like such balconies with the stairs. Funny idea to visit the vertical neighbours in this way. Very pleasant soft look, like in old movies or pictures.
I was in very interesting masonic temple in Philadelphia.

Well composed with this old car in the Fg, good light capture and interesting Bg with these colored houses, the right side is maybe too cropped for the car.

I like the idea to combine these old cars with the historic architecture, it's like a scene from many years ago come into our age. The car and the building compliment each other very well both with their history and their colors. Interesting note too, the Freemasons have their place in Irish history with their being a number of pyramid tombs around the country, almost all associated with members.
Thanks as always

But for the street signage, this could easily be from the 1940s. What a beautifully composed shot and I love the old fashioned colours. As a nit pick I would have cloned out that tiny bit of car on the left, but that's a really minor thing. Excellent vertical frame, top shot.
