[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the remote corners of Death Valley there are some places so desolate that even the rocks get lonely and will come to greet a visitor, like a dog whose master has gone out of town. This one struggled to cross hundreds of meters of the dry lakebed called The Racetrack, without benefit of hands or feet.

This may be the very shot that I can be seen taking here.

For the real story of the mysterious moving rocks of The Racetrack, see my earlier post.

Excellent POV here and BW choice. The racetrack is a place I intend to go fairly soon. Well done.

Ken,
I documented the stone coming and saying "Hello and Good Morninf, Ken! How are you doing?" I'm glad that I did take that picture and thanks for the link to it. It turned out perfectly and the conversion to B&W turns the contrasts present at the moment even better and stronger. Excellent close-up with the trail behind!
Peter

Hi Ken
Wonderful B&W presentation. It's hard to realize their size until we look at Peter's shot of you. It looks as if you have something on either your lens or sensor that is causing some spots to appear in the sky. This place is one place that I want to get to if I can get back to Death Valley.

Salam Ken,
A very well composed shot with great POV ..lovely texture and very good choice of B n W for such a desolate area ..tfs

Best wishes, Atousa

Hi Ken,

I will never get bored of seeing this wonderful mysterious place, excellent POV and contrast, well done on the B&W, and outstanding depth of field.

Sam.

Hi Ken,
I like it, that trail of the rock which leads us to the far background is wonderful placed in the frame. It's keeps on amazing me how these rocks move and leave their trail like this...a true miracle. The long shadows and the patterns on the ground in combination with the b&w treatment are working wonderful together, a really nice picture.
Regards, henk
p.s.
There are some dustspots on your sensor.

Bonjour Ken,
Une très belle image d'un phénomène étonnant !
Belle POV. J'aime bien ton utilisation du 12-24
Bravo !
Georges
