Barker Dam 2, a photo from California, West

Photographer's Note

Barker Dam in the Joshua Tree National park is one of the most stunning locations you can hope to find - if its full of water. This spring, the water was there and with the sun setting fast, i set up a one second exposure with my ND grads and a Sigma 10-20 lens. Have a look and see what you think about the result.

wonderful colours, the lighting is beautiful and the scene has a lot of depth. You have some great landscapes in your gallery! It might just be an optical illusion, but i think your horizon here is a little tilted :o)

Yes indeed, it is unusual to find water in Joshua Tree Park. And your image is from a good position, reflecting the late day sky with golden brown coloring.

Hi Hemant,
I will agree with fayeuelle that the tilt is not necessary here :)
But the overall rate will be good :) I like the gold colors, superb composition and very beautiful landscape.
