Photographer’s Note

This photo complements the one I posted yesterday (Yosemite Valley). It was taken on the same morning also from the valley floor, in this case looking to the north. In the distance is the Upper Yosemite Falls.

Overall, Yosemite Falls has two main drops. The total drop from the top of upper falls to the base of the lower falls is 739 m. Upper Falls plunges 436 m, making it among the 20 highest waterfalls in the world.

Hi William,
I like this work a lot; instead of trying to outdo Ansel Adams, you've shared with us a springtime valley moment, full of sunlight and shadows, the cyclist across a green meadow to those valley walls with the waterfall peeking out. One of the best Yosemite shots on TE for capturing the feel of the valley,
