Photographer’s Note

Not very good technically, but a slightly different look at the world.

This was taken as the dawn was coming up, so had to use an 800 ISO film speed.

Several of us were sleeping out at McCabe's Flat beside the Merced River, below Yosemite. We had gathered together for a wedding, which was held beside the river.

It was a lovely morning with the sounds of coyotes on the hill, the river rushing past and the birds starting to sing. There were also rattlesnakes about, but none bothered us luckily.

I think I was up so early because of the time difference between here and Scotland, but it was well worth it.

I have used neatimage to quieten down the noise and lightened the image slightly.
