Photographer’s Note
Or should I have called it lookout post?
This is the summit of Sentinel Dome looking west towards El Capitain and the Yosemite valley exit.
It's amazing how these pines have lived in this environment, it is amazingly hostile when the storms come in at this height (8125 feet), and blistering hot in summer & freezing cold in winter. The peak was mainly under snow, except for the summit rocks.
A wee squirrel was dancing about beside me, looking so attractive in this setting, but obviously looking for an easy time with bits from the tourists who don't know any better.
