Photographer’s Note
How does the snow manage to stay despite the tons of water daily thrashing past it? Especially as the last snowfall was at least a month ago and temperatures are high. I suppose the north facing aspect helps, despite the 1600 foot drop above.
This is the last of a trilogy of pictures of the Ribbon Falls in Yosemite, this time the base. That should complete the set.

Are you referring to the flat surface with a stone on top on the foreground right? I first thought it was only a wet rock by the falling water. The photo is interesting when seen in context with the previous pictures.
