One of Yosemite's prettiest lakes is Tenaya Lake, located on Tioga Pass Road east of Olmstead Point. In this view even though it is June there is still a sheet of ice covering most of Tenaya. The Lake is at 8,150 feet above sea level. This is a great place to relax and soak up the summer sun with sandy beaches on the west side.
In the background the large granite dome on the left is Pieweack, the name the Modoc Indians gave the Lake, which means "Lake of the Shining Rocks".

Indeed, Tenaya lake is very pretty, with the smooth rocks all around. splendid place to walk around. But it is strange that in June there is still so snow and the lake looks like frozen. Nice photo.

This kind of photo with landscape I usually have see in the Photobanks. Excellent presentation of the Californian nature, amazing combination of the reflection as a foreground and so impressive scenery on the background! TFS!

Beautiful winter scene worthy of a postcard! I like the low pov capturing the stones under water and the capture of the snow-covered mountain. I can just imagine how cold this place is. Sharp details. Well done, tfs.
