Photographer’s Note
Vernal Fall is a large waterfall on the Merced River just downstream of Nevada Fall in Yosemite National Park, California. While the official height of the waterfall is 317 feet.
To the side of Vernal Fall, the mist from the river blankets the trail. Here is where raingear becomes handy: in the spring, hikers often become completely drenched from water sprayed off Vernal Fall. This is one of the few places where a complete circular rainbow can be viewed. This shot was taken from Mist Trail. It is even difficult to walk on this trail due to continuous showers of mist, let alone talking a 4 second exposure.

Hi Asad
Very nice long exposure shot of the falls! I was just there last month and just posted a shot from the Mist Trail a couple days ago.
How did you manage to keep your camera dry?

Hi Asad
Impressive falls, nice long exposure and the whites are not blown out. Good composition.
