Santa Rosa Island's Becher Bay pier is where Island Packers disembarks visitors. In the background on the right is the Scorpion Ranch house, and on the left is the roof top of the barn.
Inland the Scorpion Ranch buildings and rusting equipment may be seen by a short hike.
The Channel Islands are protected within the National Park policies and all ranching and farming activities are gone.

This pier gives amazing graphic and I did not understand this construction on the thumbnail. Yes, when I see this rusty metal equipment I can't think about some National Park here. Anyway interesting note, I also like this blue&brown colors combination.
This place reminds me another places in my region, there is a part of an old paper factory located near my hometown. But we can see the old equipment and dead soil today.

Hello Ray, The island seems quite wild and only this pier is a sign of civilization. And this pier is quite impressive. All the poles give nice grtaphic effect. Beautiful colours.
