This hot rod has a few iconic California activities: working on your car, Bob Big Boy's hamburger on a tray, and a bad doggie.
My 'rod' was a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle which a purchased new for the whopping sum of $1,800. I put a roof rack on it to carry my surfboard to Huntington Beach, but had to tie the nose end to the front bumper due to the short roof length.
California is the car show capitol of the United States. California also had the first freeway going from Pasadena to downtown Los Angeles. I ended up working for the California Department of Transportation for many, many moons, and never looked back...

You have to admit it, that dog is just flex'n his muscle so the car knows who's boss.

Une bien belle voiture, propre et brillante mais le chien ne semble pas faire la différence. Belle prise en diagonale, excellente qualité d'image et merveilleuses couleurs. On a envie de rire en voyant la photo.

Nice setup and I like the humor of this scene. Looks like the hot rod is well maintained. Nice shinny paint job. Love the colors and sharp details. Well done, tfs.

I thought the doggie was just helping wash the car from the thumbnail. Now I see the little present he left. Did you stick around to see how the people working on the car reacted?
PS - Can we see a photo of your Hot Rod (minus the dog and his presents, of course)?

Ohh, what's amazing moment ))) Is it a real dog or a toy? Good title and so interesting note. I like your another presentation of the old timer, fine details.
What do you doing after the California Department of Transportation?
Best wishes from Russia!
