Yosemite's Nunatak Lake is located east of Tuolumne Meadows, and visible on the north side of Tioga Pass Road (Highway 120). It is more in size to a pond, yet still photogenic and a fine place to relax.
Tioga Pass is the highest point on a California road crossing the Sierra Nevadas, at 9,943 feet (3,031 meters). It is closed in the winter and usually does not open until late May depending upon snow conditions. And it usually closes by November with the first snow fall.
Continuing eastward on Tioga Road ends at the junction with Highway 395 at the small town of Lee Vining. Highway 395 is a fine route running south to north to explore the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range and the nearby Mono Lake and Bodie Ghost Town.

America, the beautiful. I truly believe our land is the most beautiful place on the earth. Although, this picture was taken a long ago, we still can see how nice the landscape is.
Have a nice day.
PS: The peak months are July and August. When we were there in September, traffic was not that bad. Winter will be the fabulous time to visit Yellowstone.

Awesome capture of this beautiful lake! Good lighting control and sharp details. Love the reflections on the water. Very well done, tfs.

What a place, and how cool to have it double up with this perfect mirror like reflection. This offers so much in the way of natural beauty and color.
Thanks as always

A Sunrise Lake at midday? I love the colours, they're very vibrant and the mountains and trees have been superbly reflected in that beautiful still water. The tight frame works well and the orangey colour of the tree trunks provides an excellent contrast to the blue tones.
