Old Boney Mountain in the background. The native americans guarded this mountain as a sacred place. The photo was taken from the Fossil Trail which is one of my favorite hiuking trails in the Santa Monica Mountains.
*Please note as of May 2013, this trail was burned in the Springs 2013 fire. The fire swept through both Little and Big Sycamore Canyon. It takes several years for the plant life to grow back.

Your Trail View reminds me of the hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains for the springtime falls and creeks and flowers. New horizons to explore for me....
The Sycamore Cove State Park looks like a good place for a hiking base-camp?
