Photographer’s Note
Another early morning shot in Death Valley amongst the dunes. The telephoto lens creates a compressed look as this scene stretches for miles.

Very simple, very beautiful...did you use a filter? If so, it's not overdone, it looks natural enough that I have to ask the question. It's nice how the sky shades from yellow to orange, left to right. Regards, Ken.

Hola,
a really beauty picture with all this layers in soft colours. The depth is perfect, but may be I would crop a little the bottom of the picture to improve the focus on the depth. But how you show the picture its really well balanced.
Well done,
Best regards,
Javier

Phil,
another fantastic shot of yours.
I really don't have anything to critique here. It is superb! So I started to play a little bit around with the presentation, although I know that this isn't TE's purpose. Have a look into the WS and let me know what you think.

This is a cool shot!
I'll be honest (I've looked at the workshop and I do prefer the workshop cropping- maybe not the large frame though).
however, something else I'd like to see is a 'slightly' larger range in shading. Using 'levels' in Photoshop I think I'd boost the shadows (by moving the left slider) resulting in a bit more 'pop'.
I've attempted similar shots with this type of layering- and you've done a superb job here mate.
I like how the detail in the 2 front layers has all but dissapeared.
Really well done,
- Dan

Kind of scary Phil. It makes me think of all the dust that can get inside the camera body. Lovely layers though combined to create an interesting composition. Nice work Phil!

Hi Phil!
Excellent composition with great view at the dunes and mountains in the background. I like much more original version. Bigger darker foreground is giving more contrast against another brighter parts of the picture. Many men many minds. This is my personal opinion. Great, artistic work!

Hi Phil. Your title is very well chosen; I like how these layers are formed one after another. The vague look gives a special atmosphere.

Hi Phil,
Wonderful layers and soft textures to these mysterious rolling hills. A mythicaly landscape in this wonderful soft golden light.
Regards, Tom
