There is a series of volcanic mountains all along the western side of North America. This one is located in Northern California, Mt. Shasta. I was here just a day ago. The snow is lean ... melted from the summer's heat, but some remains. The fields are lush with colorful foliage adding contrast to the semi black and white mountain. This mountain peaks at 14,179 feet (4,322 m). Still active, and last erupted in 1786.

I planned to visit that Mountain last July, but two things prevented me from doing that: 1st) It was too far away from San Francisco and didn't have enough time to do everything I wanted to; 2nd) The plane crash in SFO, making me feel a bit more aprehensive about going back home! Maybe next time!?!
Your picture of it presents it to all of us in a very attractive way, specially for the chosen pov, composition and management of light!
TFS - congrats,
Enjoy your week-end,
