Exit Inside-Out, a photo from California, West

Photographer's Note

This is the edifice hosting a photo exhibit in Santa Monica. It is build out of containers. In the late evening the shadows brought out the dramatic lines quite well.

For some reason I think the 'Exit' sign adds a lot to the image. It took some work in PS to make it stand out though.

A great collection of squares here, very well spotted. I think it was a good idea to include the exit sign.

I really like this shot. Strong colours and interesting lines. The exit sign draws you to the edge of the boxes...a shame the birds couldn't have flown a little closer to the centre of the sky triangle!!!

You're right. Very dramatic! Whatever you did in photoshop to make the exit sign stand out, really worked.

With the shutters closed down and the bent exit sign the image is just great. I really like the repetative theme. Great stuff and well envisaged.

very cool. I always liked the texture of containers and wish I had stopped to photograph them when I had the chance. the graphicness of the repetition is nice, as are the warm colours and sign. The upper left could do with something more of interest though (too bad there weren't more birds in the sky!).
