Seeing the thumbnail I almost jumped, thinking "wow, this was colourful". Then I noticed who's picture it was. In a way, it's not much of a picture, but tou certainly found some bright colours in the right place.

That yellow hydrant really stands out and forces my eyes to stop..!
And it is obvious the guys in charge of the pier are fond of pure strong colours, hehehe...
Well framed with fine lines, and the colours are outstanding!

Hej Gunnar,
incredible combination of three very bright colours which go so well together! The objects are very trivial, but their combination (especially in bright sunny weather) produces something very special and, what's most important, so valuable: good mood ;) Excellent view in the hazy background!
The yellow colour looks fantastic LOL

Hello Gunnar,

A knock-out composition with these colourful foreground objects.

The yellow fire hydrant takes pride of place looking like a statuesque piece of modern art. The blue dustbin and the red metal trunking play their strong complementary parts.

The diagonal line of the wharf's edge, starts at the bottom right corner, runs parallel to the red trunking, turns vertically up the side of the building, then diagonally again up the roof, to exit neatly at the exact top left.

Add to all that a fine background of the rippled sea with its pleasure boats, distant misty hills, and the final result is a superb photograph.

I have to say that there's quite a lot Bauhaus in this image, in terms of colors and shapes (read about Ittens color star).
A different but very dynamic composition my friend.
