Detail from a stained glass window that graces the Maritime Museum in Santa Barbara, California, USA. The window was made by adult education students in 2002.
Regrettably I have found it necessary to add a discrete watermark to my images posted on TE as some have been hi-jacked and are now being used commercially on other websites, without my permission.
I realise it is impossible to stop people sharing images once posted on the internet and I have no real issue with that, it is flattering to know that they like them that much………but to make money from them is another matter and infringes copyright.
My anti-virus software dislikes the forums on TE! So please do not think I am rude if I do not answer any comments or questions raised…………

beautiful stained glass window and really superb capture of it!
It´s nicely framed, but what I like the most are definitely these strong, vivid colors(especially blue shades looks so captivating here!)
Evocative and having strong graphics shot!

Nice (and long ?) post treatment i guess
An image of this quality could illustrate a magazine article with no doubt

a nice window panel Brian. Love those small parts of it with nice pictures. Your composition is tight and apt. Light is perfectly managed. A sharp one. Tfs.

Great! So many pictures and so many details, fantastic colors of "deep water", it looks like a neatly made collage

This is a stunning well managed shot Brian. You have captured the luminosity of the light passing through the glass really well. The colours are lovely, especially the blues. I note with interest the Blue Peter badge (or a close cousin) in the LRH corner! A perfect presentation. Have a lovely evening Rosemary

una bella cattura, originale, e nello stesso tempo impeccabile nella ripresa che appare priva di ombre e di difetti di qualsiasi genere.
Un bel soggetto che mette una nota allegra con i suoi contrasti vivaci ed i colori decisi.
Ciao e buona settimana

This is such a different shot from your repertoire!
I certainly did not recognise it as your style in the thumbnails. That is not a criticism, merely an observation.
However, what is true to form is the excellent sharpness, the lovely saturation and the careful, symmetrical composition.
My warm regards,

A lovely patchwork on the theme of the sea and a beautiful work of art which you have perfectly captured with your camera. There is much to see on this picturesque stained glass window, and the blue colour is particularly attractive and luminous. The whole picture is remarkebly framed and has splendid, vivid colours. Very well done.

This certainly jumped off the gallery pages for me, bet you can't guess why.....yep, blue! :) What a great concept type of shot, a very wise idea to compose it in such a fashion, it has very much of a puzzle box look and intrigue. I love the colors that stained glass produce, and you've exposed this to be spot on for clarity, detail and texture. Bonus points for squeezing 20 images into one! :)
I bet this is another one that most people would would stop and admire, and even take a snapshot or two of a specific pane...or perhaps a wide, expansive shot that encompasses too much...but few I believe would be able to envision it's framing for this type of effective result. Kudos! Enjoy the day ahead.

Une photo parfaite, de très belle qualité, de ce vitrail très original, bien adapté au musée de la marine.

Hi dear Brian
Well this is an unusual thing to see. I couldn't work out whether we were seeing a church or a museum, so thanks for your note. Love the cobalt blues and vivid colours, the photo looks like several little photos within the one image. Nice spotting and thanks for sharing something I've not come across before.

Very attractive detail in fine saturated colors. Those scenes reminds me of old cartoon stripes. Well taken.
