So, the weather wouldn't get better! After visiting the MUIR WOODS, went back to San Francisco, passing by BERKLEY before, to visit the city, its surroundings, including its famous University!
My way back included also the BAY BRIDGE and here I was almost arriving in the city, going across a tunnel located nearby Treasure Island and, although the day was cloudy and grey, reaching the daylight outside that tunnel was a pleasure, both for the light itself and for the sight of the bridge!

simple pic in fact, but well done, and the fact that it is centered with the tunnel making a natural frame gives dynamics!

love this! Not sure why it has not got more views/points. It is such a clever image and sums up the experience of driving around San Francisco perfectly. Wonderful!
Have a good weekend - Brian.

I have a few photos of this bridge as we drove into San Francisco from the tunnel. Very nice POV that put us right in teh tunnel with you. The weather is very typical with the fog and haziness and you did well with the photo under this condition.

i like the pov here.great frame with the semi circular arch on the top frame and you managed to show both the pillars of the bridge from 1 inside the other.love the busy feel on the road.

I like the arch framing the Oakland Bay bridge. My Greyhound bus went across at night and the skyline of SF resembled a mini Hong Kong. Very colorful and worth seeking out a vantage point if you have the time. Good sharpness and diffused light. Tfs!

your picture gives us a good impression of following the movement and the traffic to the end of the tunnel and towards the great bridge. The position of the cars contributes to an almost symmetrical arrangement, the depth and the perspectives are superb. I like how you managed the moody lighting, making it diffuse so nicely. There's a fine graduation of light, shade and grey tones. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a very Merry Christmas with your dear ones!

a photo that i don't understand why receives so little appreciation. even though taken from a car, you do not get any feeling of looking through a rear window, it looks as if you took it walking amongst the cars! the direct perspective to the bridge and the natural framing with the tunnel are another WoWs! superb (and would look sooo cool in b&w, imho).

talk about a unique looking photo from San Fran. Never seen this pov, never seen this perspective of the bridge.
really enjoy the in-the-tunnel photo, the lighting turned out pretty good!

Bonne idée de cadrage avec ce tunnel qui encadre la vue du pont, parfait espace dégagé en premier plan.
Bonne Année 2014 !

I'm not sure how you took this, probably in a car, which makes it all the more praiseworthy. I like how you have framed the shot with the roof of the tunnel; it helps to focus us on the road, and the bridge, which is approaching. Your shot really gives the viewer the impression that he/she is experiencing the movement along the thoroughfare to the bridge, which does dominate the b/g imposingly.
My good wishes to you and your family for 2014, Bev :-)

very original POV to present this famous bridge. You have well used the tunnel as a framing from above especially that the sky was not the best.
Very well done!
Have a happy New Year!

gostei muito da vista e dos elementos da compo mostrados aqui, eu acho que uma versão em branco e preto daria um grafismo ainda maior à cena. lindo trabalho.
imagino que não era vc que estava dirigindo nesse momento..

I like this road movie, good idea and excellent realization, well done. What do you like more the Southern or the Northern California?
Thanks for your interesting reports from CA.
