Photographer’s Note
My tripod was set-up and my camera left the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge you've already seen, swinging south and west toward sailboats near the coast of Tiburon. Glancing down I saw fishermen strung out along a breakwater that most likely covered a storm drain outfall. Then I noticed a group of four men on the shore getting ready to go fishing. The number FOUR leaped out at me and I kept checking back to see what was happening with the group. They headed down the breakwater, each selecting a different location far from his friends. I went back to the bridge, then to the Larkspur ferry coming in from San Francisco. Then I noticed the men slowly moving together. I positioned my camera and waited until, at last, I caught this image of the four of them standing near one another for the first time. I don't know whether they were sharing fishing lures the man kneeling was examining in his tackle box, or whether they were about to leave. But they were together, nonetheless, a group of four fishermen and four fishing rods. I check another category off the Scavenger Hunt, leaving only the most challenging, something two hundred years old. Wish me luck!

Yep, four there is. Good idea to crop the heads of three, and focus attention on the guy doing whatever he's doing. Mmm, 200 years probably a bit tricky for you, especially on that side of the country.

As a people-person, I will comment on this one.
The composition is good. I like the focus on only one person. Technically, it is a bit oversharpened and the waves are very very sharp...kind of distracting to your main subjects. If you use a shallow DOF, this shot will be a very good one, IMHO.
Good try on "portrait" shots. Keep on trying. You have the eye for details.

Confussed, because this is also dated on the 29th, but anyway I missed this one, and I think this one is the most challenging one for me, seeing as I can "just point my camera in any direction and capture something greater than 200 years" (or I can just snap a shot of my great grandmother an pass her off as a lady a the busstop :o) I agree with Richard, you are quite daring cropping their heads, but it works very well.
Oops. points tomorrow.
