This is another shot from Huntington Library. There is a very brief introduction about the library in my last post.

The statues are located in north vista of Camellia Garden. The life size statues are 17th and 18th century limestone figures from mythology.

At the far end is a 17th century Italian fountain in the baroque style.

I waited to the last moment to take this picture at 4:30pm when the library was closed for public access About this time, all the status were under the shade. I may go back to the library some other time in February when the camellia flowers are blossom.

The size reduction to fit in the TE made the status not clear. To make a better view of the status, I have made a different version of cropping in WS.

wonderful point of view and the perspective is great. the colors are very good too.
somejhows the statues and the palm trees don't seem to belong together and because of that there is a fun and quirk nature to this photo

Huntington Library, one of my favorite place to visit in southern Cal
I tried to capture this scene couple years ago using Pano but my technique was not good enought back then. the pictures didn't match.
very good view if you can capture the whole scene.

Hi Wes,
Like you said, the statues do not occupy the center of attraction in the picture but the picture itself is very attractive. A really nice path to walk on and your colour and POV is very good.
Thanks for sharing
Ranjith

Hello, Wes! Very interesting place, I would say "alley of statues". Nicely composed and well saturated image! Low point of view makes the statues monumental. Good job!
regards,
Greg

Hi Wes:
I had a trip but i came back. This picture is very nice, i think it needs another elements to the center, but the sense are the elements that you selected. I am sure that people will like it. The saturation is very fine and the strong colors too.
Thanks for your notes
Sergio

Good perspective here , with also a nice mood of old Europ through the statues andd their position in the park.

Hi Wes,
Excellent picture of this wonderful place, full of statues. The great perspective and the beautiful point of view make a lovely composition well-balanced. Very good lighting and colours too. Splendid work!

Regards John

Bonsoir Wes,
Philippe

Hi Wes. I like how you have the statues cascading down each side giving good depth. The colors are nice and rich. What I really like is the row of palm trees on the left along the grass. Nice shot Wes!

What strikes me the most on this posting Wes is the spot where you took this. I love photos when you get lower than normal standing position. At least that is what it seems. The statutes on both sides draw a very inviting line into the photo. Nice work Wes. Lets see more.

This is a beautiful place, there is a very good perspective and depth. Love the colors contrasts and sharpness. Very good lighting.
The position of the statues remember me some old palaces in Europe.
Very well done Wes.

The pov is very interesting : being so close to the ground gives a lot of depth and makes the compos original.
Well done.
