I visited Huntington Library today. This is one of the pictures I have taken in the library.

Henry Huntington (1850 ~ 1927) was a very successful businessman who built a financial empire that included railroad companies, utilities, and real estate holdings.

As stated in the library introduction: “Huntington was a man of vision – with a special interest in books, art, and gardens. During his lifetime, he amassed the core of one of the finest research libraries in the world, established a splendid art collection, and created an array of botanical gardens with plants from a geographic range spanning the globe.”

There are 12 specialized gardens in the library, which covers 150 acres of land. The most visited gardens are Desert Garden, Japanese Garden, and Rose Garden.

This picture was taken in Japanese garden. A different view of the same building is shown in WS

Huntington Library is located in the city of San Marino. It is currently owned by a private non-profit educational trust. The admission is $15.00 to general public. The parking is free. Its opening hour is 10:30am ~ 4:30pm

Hi Wes,
A typical simplicity in Japanese architecture yet filled with aesthetic elegance. Your shot beautifully portrayed this aspect. I like the way you positioned yourself so as to enable you to show the different rooms and thus the interesting spaces in this composition. The soft earth colours are most pleasant and down to earth. Excellent shot!! Enjoy your weekend.

Joli coup d'oeil sur ce joli coin de paix.

You made me feel as if I was back in my aunt's house. Her house was in a country side and looked exactly like this. No walls, no big funitures, a small narrow corridor on outer side. Oh I loved her house. Thank you for sharing this shot. Good shot for showing rural house in Japan.

Hi Wes,
A very good TE shot and thanks a lot for posting. I, like a lot of other people am really curious about the japanese culture and their way of life and this shot is a nice educative shot. Very well taken with excellent sharpness anfd clarity. The sharp repetitive rectangles make it a strong picture.
Nicely done
Thanks for sharing
Ranjith

Hi Wes. I love these buildings of pure craftsmanship. The attention to detail in this photo is very good. The bright spots as well as the dark areas are very well exposed. Also catching this photo POV with the opening through the other end makes this a delight to view. Well done Wes. A huge difference from your last photo with Water spraying every where. Cheers ~ Paul.

Hi Wes,
A well composed shot, rendered with great clarity and delicate colours. I like how you have used an ideal POV to portray in such a balanced manner all of the geormetric lines, shapes and structures. I have been to the Library several times and never tire of it. This is first class work, Wes. Very pleasing.

Bonsoir Wes,
J'ai bien apprécié les deux photographies publiées. Merci de nous avoir restitué cet intérieur japonais. Vous avez su très bien utiliser la lumière pour éclairer les différentes pièces.
Très bien fait Wes.

Hello Wes.
You did a good job in illustrating this Japanese room, not an easy thing to do.The light is fine and the colors superb.
The open door is an invitation and I am taking it to see the rest of this garden.
Charles

Hi Wes. I do like all of the horizontal and vertical lines. Also the way the depth is going diagonal is a nice add. Of course without the great note we wouldn't be able to appreciate as much what we're looking at. Nice one Wes!

Hi Wes

I like the strong diagonal. the reflection in the highly polished floor, & the almost Japanese simplicity & elegance, of the architecture. Well done!

hi Wes,
nice angle to shoot the house. It gives a good depth to the photo. I like how I can follow the hallway to outside.

Hi!
Good shot. you used the lines of this building very well. I like the way we can look through this building. It looks like the left was slightly overexposed. Did you maybe make the sky a bit darker? It looks a bit greyish.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Wes! The garden and interior is beautiful - very simple and very neat! Colors and sharpness are excellent! The library must be very popular with all the various facilities and gardens. Good informative notes! rgds.

Sharp and perfect contrast with deep coloring and excellent perspective POV to see this Japanese house.

Hi Wes,
As I go back, I heartened by the progress you've made with your photographic skills, perhaps one day I'll capture the Califonia poppies as well as you did. In this compo, I especialluy agree with Aloyho, "A typical simplicity in Japanese architecture yet filled with aesthetic elegance. Your shot beautifully portrayed this aspect. I like the way you positioned yourself so as to enable you to show the different rooms and thus the interesting spaces in this composition. The soft earth colours are most pleasant and down to earth.
