Great juxtaposition - this has to be one of my favourite architectural shots of all time here on TE - it is probably my most favoured image of modern architecture - to see it against the decorative contrast of the old - it just always excites my senses - wonderful image and an immediate favourite.

I agree with Kev. Well spotted for the composition,it works so well in B&W, but I'd love to see the colour version, it looks a clear blue sky?

The composition is simply outstanding. I never saw this combination of old and new in any San Francisco picture so well protraited. Excellent eye.
What I don't like so much here is the low digital quality. You used only 100kb to download it and there is a lot of noise and pixelation.
A green smile for the composition.

Nice idea and it really is a big contrast. The pointed and stright lines against the curved and circle building. Well done spotting this one. TFS!

celle ci aussi est très bonne, en tout cas elle ne me laisse pas indifférent, j'aime bien ce coté granuleux que tu as ajouté à l'image, où comment l'ancien et le nouveau peuvent cohabiter ensemble

J'était à San Fransisco le mois dernier et j'ai pris quelques photos de la transamerica tower... Mais aucunes ne rivalisent avec celle-ci. C'est très réussi!!!
