San Diego Bay is a natural harbor and deepwater port located in San Diego County, California near the US-Mexico border. It is 12 miles (19 km) long and 1 to 3 miles (1.6 to 4.8 km) wide. The bay is surrounded by the San Diego metropolitan area, which includes the cities of San Diego, National City, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach and Coronado.

Considered to be one of the best natural harbors on the west coast of North America, it was colonized by Spain beginning in 1769. Later it served, and continues to serve to this day, as a home port of major assets, including several aircraft carriers, of the United States Navy's Pacific Fleet, which is headquartered at Pearl Harbor. Hello Eleu,

This image has the texture of a painting. I like this backlight shot where the focus is in the reflection in the water, leaving the boat in the foggy blur. The birds ara a nice addition.

Hello Ekeu,
This is a superb and very attractive composition. The foggy light from the rising sun is marvellous and so are the reflections on the silvery sea. The hazy boat is the focus of the composition, but the birds swimming across the sun ray are maybe even better.

I see a pelican that is not worry too much about the dense fog, the fish he looks for not knowing about the out-of-water mist aloft...
A strange morning light, sun already up - and so obsecured.

the thick fog has affected the colours and the atmosphere of the picture in a fascinating way, the sheen of the sunlight that's struggling to come through is lovely to look at and enhances the sense of depth. You've made great and effective use of the particular lighting conditions. The triangle of wet sand at the bottom of the frame anchors the image to reality. Congratulations and thank you!
