The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is a branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the seven U.S. uniformed services. The Coast Guard is a maritime, military, multi-mission service unique among the U.S. military branches for having a maritime law enforcement mission (with jurisdiction in both domestic and international waters) and a federal regulatory agency mission as part of its mission set. It operates under the Department of Homeland Security during peacetime, and can be transferred to the Department of the Navy by the President at any time, or by Congress during time of war. Nice view of this ship in a light that gives a very marine mood to the image. I take the liberty of posting a note about this ship.

I like the difference: a big armed patrol ship and a little sail boat, well captured and composed

The US navy ship looks sharp in the sea.Good daylight exposure and the image is really crisp. The small yacht sailing parallel to the US ship draws attention.Well composed photo. A great use of light. The deep depth of field is perfect.TFS.

The (small)sail-boat scale and contrast the CG vessel.
Excelent light management, as i see the backlight on the sail itself, and far side hills on shade.
Nice marine view.
