Photographer’s Note
a portion of that long and winding road going up the hills, valleys, cliffs, ravines and plateaus to the mountain resort cities of san bernardino, running springs, arrowhead, big bear, etc. from los angeles- a view taken from one of the rest areas on the way.
the long and winding road
(written, composed and sung by The Beatles)
the long and winding road
that leads to your door
will never disappear
i've seen that road before
it always leads me here
lead me to your door
the wild and windy night
that the rain washed away
has left a pool of tears
crying for the day
why leave me standing here
let me know the way
many times i've been alone
and many times i've cried
any way you'll never know
the many ways i've tried
but still they lead me back
to the long winding road
you left me standing here
a long long time ago
don't leave me waiting here
lead me to your door
but still they lead me back
to the long winding road
you left me standing here
a long long time ago
don't leave me waiting here
lead me to your door
yeah, yeah, yeah yeah....

Hi Benedict
As musician the title hits me of course; the picture has four layers with four colours and a white sky that perhaps should be blue to give more contrast, but I like it.
greetings from Holland

Hi Benedict,
I love the way you have framed thise photo with the green hills leading down to the valley and its winding road and then the rugged hills in the background.

Hi Benedict,
Great pov, magnificent view and note. I like the contrast of the dried grass on the fg and the sun shined hill on the left against the shadowed valley and hill; and many other things, of course.
I am truly glad to see that the lack of sharpness, the haze on the distance and the burnt sky didn't stop you from posting it, as technical perfection is far from being the most important issue for us, amateurs.
Regards, José.

Well done on this one, everything is in the right place, POV, color, framing and everything else in between.
Great job!

Another great panorama from you Benedict with some amazing textures of nature and a good capture of the changing colours . The lights are good and the view very vivid and beautiful. You ahve a good pov and perspective and have positioned yourself well. Nice overall composition and framing
