Photographer’s Note
Saturday I stopped downtown to visit the local library when I noticed the "Friends of the Library" were holding a book sale in front of Town Hall. I grabbed my camera and wandered toward the display tables loaded with books. I noticed this pair, mother and child, no doubt, playing an animated version of hide and seek. First one, then the other stood behind this column, "pretending" to hide. I say pretending because the column was too small to hide either of them. As you can see they were sharing great joy with one another. Enjoy their delight!

Hi Curtis,
Children's joy is always great to see. And in this one also the mother is totally in the game. Symmetry works well and you were also lucky with the background.

There you go, Curtis! That's what the 85 can do in skilled hands. You show wonderful control over that bokeh-addled beast here I must say. Lovely colors and the OOF is like whipped cream.
Beautiful expression captured too...
Cheers,
Francis

Beautiful moment between the pair, I thought you shot it at very close to them, then I noticed that was 85mm thing. Very sharp and I liked the lights as well, and no blurr...wow.

Very happy moment between mother and child. The post between them played a very nice and strong element in the picture. Well done.

The young girl’s laugh is really priceless! She’s enjoying it so much apparently. Nicely layered picture, Curtis, and a very nice moment. The light background is very nice, and I can see the lens is very good, very nice bokeh, and very sharp.
It’s fun, when children learn to do that for the first time, when you play with them and hide your face behind a piece of paper or something like that, and they like it still when they are a lot older, like this girl

very nice photo Curtis, so much joy here. i like the composition - the frame is nicely divided into two parts, but those smiles are the main reasons that i like this image, very nice work
