Photographer’s Note
Once again I stop in downtown San Anselmo at 11:00 p.m. to take a few photographs. The only people still around town are those who've recently finished a late dinner at one of the excellent restaurants along San Anselmo Avenue. A couple of days ago I posted a photo taken mid-day in front of this shop called Generations Meet!
Here we have two gentlemen chatting. Their dinner partners were doing the same outside the frame to the right. One of the women asked what I was doing and I said I was doing a little late night photography. It amazes me that the Canon 20D allows me to take photos like this. Here the ISO is cranked up to 1600 and the lens aperture is set to f/2.2. It works! Hope you enjoy the view.

Unusual street life shot. Seems like a very relaxed atmosphere. The poses compliment the setting nicely.

Hello Curtis,
Let me congratulate you on a beautiful shot here, I find it very moving somehow, speaking as it does of friendship, of things ephemeral and that late time of night when no one wants to part but it's time to go home...
Cheers,
Francis

Intriguing...what are they talking about? ;)
Nice use of loght & shadows here - I wouldn't have known it was a shot taken with an ISO of 1600 as it's very clear and doesn't appear grainy to me...
