Photographer’s Note
I've been assured by a woman friend that for girls the only color that matters is pink. Never having had a daughter I was unaware of this "fact." That conversation did, however, lead me to look more closely when around youngsters. I discovered, of course, that she was right.
Here we take a second visit to a crosswalk in downtown San Anselmo where I took a photo I called Skipping! showing a girl with bright red shoes, and... you guessed it, a pink dress with darker pink leggings. This parade of munchkins arrived a short while later led by this "Pied Piper in Pink." It seems the fascination with pink doesn't stop when girls become young women. Mom does it, her daughter does it and if look closely you'll see most of the little girls trailing behind are also wearing pink.
I've finally learned my lesson... ;-)

I'm not sure, but I didn't wear much pink as a child, but maybe it was not so common in that time. It's also possible that I was the exception tthat confirms the rule, as we say here. But I DID notice that both your little dancer and the skipping girl were dressed in pink. Of course it already starts right after they are born, pink for girls, blue for boys. It always makes me want to go against the grain, and do it the other way around, buy a pink shirt for a baby boy or so.
Lovely capture, Curtis, lovely determined expression on the girl's face. And yes, of course that stroller needs to be pink as well.

Hi Curtis, such a lovely and uplifting job with a creative title and matching note here. I love the all the "ton sur ton" in this vertical composition, the very wel chosen DoF and the fascinating mixture of expression. Great job, congrats!

not my case either, Curtis. Mom used to dress me in blue to match my eyes, but definitely Nico is a pink lover.
Lovely note, and lovely moment you captured, although I would so much prefer the girls on the background to be seen!
My today´s shot is for you :)
