Photographer’s Note
This is the Elks Tower/Lodge at 11th and J Streets. A developer in the '70s destroyed much of the historic, art deco interior while attempting to upgrade the building. It was vacant for decades and was purchased by Steve Ayers, who is painstakingly repairing and restoring the original features and adding options for leasing office space. Ayers and Otto Construction are doing justice to this fine old building, which was built in 1926. Note the interesting mural/painting on the building to the left.
