Photographer's Note
We had a circus come to our city last year, and it was unusual to see one that still uses the outside tent. When they first put it up, it was in the late afternoon, and I loved the way the light hit the tent. I decided to come back the next morning to take a picture in the early morning light with the sun hitting the faded canvas. It must have been exciting to have a circus tent like this in your own home town back in a time gone by.

Great composition. I like that you included a bit of the barrier. Maybe cropping a bit off of the top would create some more powerful negative space especially with the flags. Also usually one thinks of a circus as being exciting and bright. Your tent appears rather dirty and dull. Saturating the photo and adjusting the levels would work nicely in this shot. Please check out my workshop.

dear Peter,
a wonderful shot of interesting roof scene,
various countries' flags are beautifully arranged on the USA's flag tent top,
maybe the circus show is so joyful in it,
the contrast is a little weak, but the air is well captured,
thank you for your excellent shot,
Akihisa
