A historic house in the City of Redlands, CA USA. Typical of Victorian Homes built in late 1890 surrounded by orange groves

I like a lot these architectures, good POV and details.

This photograph has quite a number of things going for it. First and foremost, the house itself is beautiful and has quite a number of the intricacies of Victorian design (the pointed roof over the bay window, the metal rails above the veranda, etc.) that really catch the eye and make you want to look more closely at all the detail.
The color is a bit dull, but considering the subject, the slightly grey look works.
The composition is wonderful. It was an excellent choice for this shot to not take it straight on from the front (the front, I am assuming, being where the door is located). The placement of the trees on the left side works much better than those on the right for the depth of field.
What might have looked a bit better, though, is taking the photo from the same direction but closer to the house so it would be taller (looming, even), and its numerous shapes were seen from more of an angle. Plus, the driveway, while a comparable color to the house, doesn't seem to add to the photo (though doing this might have cut out the lawn, which is nice). And while I don't know what time this was taken, perhaps taking the photo earlier/later would have placed the sun more on the camera side of the house to cast some shadows with all those great structural details.
The exposure is amazingly beautiful, but though you're certainly not lacking for contrast in the photo, the subject itself is pretty even. Like I said, earlier or later might have changed that, but again, considering the subject, the dark evenness works. Certainly you were using a low ISO (maybe around 100?). Anyway, thankfully you didn't use a polarizing filer, because the reflections of the trees on the windows are great.
My only gripe on exposure is that the clouds above the house and on the right are blown out, but off hand I'm not sure how you would have fixed this (at least on location). Maybe if the house were closer to the right edge it might look nicer, but regardless, it doesn't take away from the picture.

It's houses like this that are my ultimate "want to live there" fantasy, I'd love to have seen inside it! Gorgeous shot and colours!

This photo is so beautiful. The subject itself it spectacular, with such intricate details and lovely architecture.
The lighting is spectacular - so soft, it makes for a very inviting photography. I also love the soft colours you captured.
Thanks so much for sharing!
