Picture taken on a cool but beautiful day in 2008 near the Port Hueneme Pier on the Port Hueneme State Beach. The swings were empty as was the beach, too cold, and I got the feeling of being alone with the vastness of the ocean in front of me. I have to say this is my favorite picture that I have taken and I could not replicate this again!

The City of Port Hueneme (pronounced "Why-nee-mee") is located on the south central coast of California, 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 50 miles south of Santa Barbara. Neighboring communities include Oxnard, Ventura, and Camarillo. On a clear day the beach offers views of Santa Cruz and the Anacapa Islands.
