Photographer’s Note
It began to rain as we reached the car from the lighthouse.
I am uploading a workshop of a different crop of the same frame.

its a great image Animesh, but i really like the WS version, i think side mirror would add a great interest here and would slightly remind me of that E.Erwitt's famous lovers' side mirror image..but maybe your upload has got its own character more here..
great shot overall, its impact is impeccable, nicely done.

Hi Animesh,
Really nice, both of them. It's quite interesting how the photo changes completely when you actually included the mirror. I personally like this one better - it's not so obviously from the car than the workshopped version. This one has great atmosphere!
Cheers!

Hello Animesh
Nice wet weather picture is this. Your choice for B&W is right. I like this way of cropping: the result is a perfect composition. In my opinion the workshop version shows less quality. Last but not least: great DOF.

Quite an interesting shot. It certainly is quite different from the crop with mirror. I find the raindrops a bit too much the focus and too regular. Thinking about how it may be improved I would say that a little more "personality" in the rain drop pattern and some more balance between foreplane and back ground. Nonetheless, I still like this a lot.

Hi Animesh,
Great composition. The silhouettes in the background are great. Love the B/W tones. I prefer this one to the WS. It's more abstract, minimalist.
Well done

one can almost feel the coldnest of the wet window - well seen!
i like this crop more, it's not that obvious as the WS. good choice of B&W - nice work!

Hi Animesh,
I like it a lot! simple squarry format for simple composition...so effective! You tell a story there,or more precisely the plot and one can make the story out of his imagination. I love this kind of pic' that doesn't tell too much, only the necessary ;o)
Well done!
Cheers,
Pris.

Oh man, this is good... I'm pretty partial to raindrop shot myself but this is a stunner. Exquisite cropping in the square format giving the whole the consistencu and aura of a small gem, which it is... Love the people huddled at the bottom.
Super job,
Francis

Spectacular. Like Evren, I prefer the WS though. That one has more drama, I think. Beautiful tones and details.

Hey animes, Im not a big fan of the swuare format but this crop is much better than the workshop. I dont like the mirror, I think it totally threw the frame into a state of not only disbalance but cluttered ot. Here we have a wonderfully clean frame, simple, uncluttered. The water drops are fantastic.

Chove chuva,
Chove sem parar.
Pois eu vou fazer uma prece
Pra deus, nosso senhor.
Pra chuva parar
De molhar o meu divino amor.

This one gets my vote. Work of art. Car mirrors are as plentiful as raindrops. No need for gimmicks with this kind of creation.

So moody... always fascinating result... the silhouettes, the b&w... I prefer this version as the one in the ws.
Perfect!

Hello Animesh! Both versions have something special, but this one is maybe more mysterious - at least for me. Excellent idea to shoot through the rain drops leaving the persons out there in the rain. They seem like "ghosts" moving through your photo. Good you stayed in the car, dry and warm, and bringing home this wonderful photo. Well done. Barbara.

Hi Animesh,
this one without the mirror is much better for me.
Excellent mood and b/w, I like a lot.
Silhouettes are perfect, they are like ghosts in the street.

Hi Again,
Second comment, and second photo that involves rain. I like this one too. Everybody's seen it in real life before. Striped to the essential, it's imple yet melancholic.

You are not only painting with light, you are also adding emotions to your paintings. Both are great.

A strong mood here. You composed that perfectly and the B&W was the best way to share that. Well done.
