Photographer's Note
The Los Angeles Times may be right by calling the Vasquez Rocks: "the most commercially photographed boulders on the planet". Before film, they were the hangout of Robin Hood like hero, Tirbucio Vasquez. From the beginning of movies to current day, the scenery has been the backdrop for all types of stories.
However, I believe the Alabama Hills near Highway 395 is the leader in quality for film backdrop scenery.
Vasquez Rocks is located at the Agua Dulce Canyon exit off Highway 14, west of Palmdale. The Rocks are about 3 miles north of the 14 Freeway.

Hi Ray
Interesting rocky composition, nice point of view.
The pictures looks a little bit too bright.
I have done a WS, but you have not allowed to post it.
Best regards

Hi Ray
The colors and the layers of sloped rocks in the lush green plants under clear blue skies with white clouds are very beautiful, interesting and impressive.
Very nice composition and presentation.

Bonjour Ray
L'image semble en mouvement, parce que les pierres semblent toutes pointer dans la même direction. La lumière est parfaitement maîtrisée et les couleurs sont belles.
Bon weekend

Hi YankeeRay
What marvellous textures these rocks have, you've captured them superbly. I love the soft colours and the hazy atmosphere. Great job, thanks for sharing and I wish you a good weekend.
