Photographer’s Note
I took this picture I posted yesterday in Dana's backyard. This is another picture I took in Dana's yard, facing north direction.
I have no idea what kind of the hawk it is in this picture. The road in distance away is highway 33 connecting from Ojai to Freeway 101.
I have posted another view of the same hawk in WS.

So I ma driving today on 237 in Milpitas (near san jose) and this hawk flies over head out of nowhere and circles and I pull out on the emergency lane, get my camera out and it flies away. I was so unhappy, and now you post this. I am jealous...
The beauty of this photo is fantastic even without the hawk but with it it is truly special. The layers of colors in these hills are amazing. I really like the power towers.

Hi Wes
Not your best, but still a reasonable shot, nonetheless, imho. For a landscape, late afternoon or early morning light, usually provides better, & more pronounced lighting. The hawk is a good addition, but a close up zoom-in would be better.

No doubt wes that the hawk adds a great detail to this otherwise nice landscape shot. A good capture and not so easy to have. Very good job and with the 1/200 shutter I guess the bird was at relative 'low speed' when passing

Bonsoir Wes,
Un bien joli paysage survolé par un faucon dans ciel très bleu. J'aime cette route sinueuse à travers les montagnes.
L'endroit était une mine pour réaliser de très belles photos.
Merci Wes de partager.
Amitiés.

Hi Wes. Nice looking shot of the hawk you have here. I guess that's the same Highway 33 that goes by me. Nice stoppage of the hawk with only a 1/200 shutter speed. But you have a most beautiful view here. Nice one Wes, I like it!

Hi Wes,
After a long time I am back on TE and I see that i missed some of your really good pictures. I like the fact that you got the hawk but i like the landscape a lot more especially the mountains and the sky. Nice exposure without a lot of PP...i guess

Hi Wes,
We are all going to have to become invited to backyards like you have found. You have captured the hawk perfectly in flight, nicely focussed. The scene is enhanced by the sinewy, twisting road. I like the layered look of the hills in the distance. Great capture.

Incredible POV, Wes, it's not too often you find yourself looking down at a soaring bird of prey. Wonderful landscape.

Hi Wes, a photo I overlooked ... a shame cause it is a photo with a lovely scenery. The depth is amazing here. I like the road with all the curves, the layers of the hills/mountains on the background and the bird. This landscape looks also very suitabele for a panaroma. Good details as well.
You really travel a lot, don't you? If I had a car... I would probably do the same.
