Photographer’s Note
Please see my last post for introduction about Lake Casitas. This is a bird's eye view of the lake, from west to east.
Looking from the lakeshore to surrounding mountains, I found a house (posted in WS), on the top of the mountain. I believed that there should be a road lead to the top. I found the road, the house. While I was on the side of the house taking pictures, the house owner, Dana, invited me to his backyard to take picture. This is one of the pictures I took from Dana's backyard.

One helluva backyard view. i can only imagine wow...
The composition is fantastic and the colors are too. What I like most is the ondulating levels of nature you through out this photo. I'm not sure if I like the partial tree on the left. Once Again you've done well.

Bonsoir Wes,
J'aime beaucoup.
Amitiés.

Hi Wes. A beautiful wide-angle shot to portray the scenic setting in which this turquoise lake is embedded. A very appealing color ensemble, and good color contrast. Some plant or other object in the foreground (more than the few branches at the right) might be nice to enhance the depth, but I know it is not always available. Very nice plays, thanks for showing it.

Hi Wes,
A great overview of a beautiful and impressive landscape. The dark foreground stands out against the bright and hazy background.Maybe it would be better to crop out the tree on the right,-or to take a bigger part of it into the compo.
Have nice weekend,
hermann

Hi Wes,
Wonderful landscape again. Unfortunately I'm not able to see or take pictures of such nature here in Holland, and neither in my next home country, Denmark, these countries are too flat ;-), so I just enjoy your shots of these landscape. It's lovely, thanks! :-)

Hi Wes. What a magnificent view! The only thing that could possibly be improved is the clarity in the distance. Perhaps the burn tool could hide the haziness a little. But the colors are really eye-popping. Another good one Mr. Wes.

This is a lovely vantage point of view Wes. I am sure you were glad that Dana let you capture a better view.
Suggestion for you. Whenever you shoot a photo with a contrasting elements you have to consider how dark the land is in comparison to the sky lake. You have a real difference in contrast between the two. What we always battle with is how the sensor will respond to what you are shooting. I highly reccomend photoshop CS because of its shadow/ highlight feature. The latest versoin has other little perky elements like a smart sharpen which I use all the time. So taka a look at the workshop to see what the Shadow / Highlight feature does. Nice place Wes to live down there.

Hi Wes,
A fine landscape shot, well composed. The different arms of the lake extend like an octopus in various directions, taking the eye along. The foreground hill is displayed in rich green foliage and angles nicely from left to right, providing a sense of depth and balance with the lower land masses. A pleasing, well taken shot. Regards.

Hi Wes, a beautiful scenic shot. The dark vegetation of the foreground contrasts well with the blue lake and the lighter hills in the distance.

Amazing view of a beatiful landscape! The lighter colours of the water give good contrasts in combination with the lighter blue of the water. I like the misty shapes of the mountains in the background.

Good evening Wes!
Excellent view at the lake. Very lovely colours and nice misty atmosphere in the background. I like more your original version than workshop.Your capture is for me more realistic, less noisy and very artistic.
best regards

Hi Wes
Another polarizes shot and given those "darkening" effect.
Maybe you could work out some adjustment in PS to improve the greens and increases the brightness.
