Photographer’s Note
My Last photo showed Main Street of Ojai. This is a shot of an early Sunday afternoon in Libby Park at the center of Ojai. People were enjoy themselves together.
The life in this small town is quite easy and relax.

The atmosphere here in the shade is very colorful and fine balanced to the sunny parts, very good contrast handeling and the subject is indeed very enjoyable Wes.

Hi Wes,
Its nice, Id like it a bit moe if the circle was a bit more open, it would feel more invitng. What I like is the contact your camera makes with the player. By getting that eye contact, you make it a more inviting photo, its as if he is playing for us.

Hi Wes,
Nice capture of a group activity. Like the way you have framed your shot. I feel the picture is a bit soft but a nice one showing the easy going way of life in Ojai. I guess they are all residents just spending some free time enjoying themselves.
Good daily life scene.

Hi Wes,
The tree holds the group well and I like your position where you have three groups of people - 2, 3 and 5 (aesthetically perfect) So its another obsession with numbers but you will agree with me. I also love the relax atmosphere and the soft colours and tones. It blends very nicely. Brilliant shot!! Regards and a nice day.

A nice and easy-going scene, Wes - the people playing music in the park make for a good topic, and I think what makes this one work is the contact with the flute player and the fact that the view and path towards him is unobscured. Nice treatment of the light too, it should be a bit sharper though. I like this compo and closer framing is way more than the WS.

Hi Mr. LA/USC! It's nice to know places like this still exist in California. I like the POV which lets us feel like a spectator sitting close in. Good job with keeping the shadows light so we can see under the tree, which is essential for the shot to work. Well done Wes!

Bonjour Wes,

Seems to me that it must be nice to have a town where everyone gets together to have fun.
I hope they did not mind being recorded and posted on Trek. Nice work Wes. Question though...this scene seems to be a little soft than the usual photos you post ...that are much sharper. Was it the slow shutter speed? Did you use a tripod?

Hi Wes,
Very nice photo... but I bit unsharp... but I see other TE-members also said that, so I just try to make it sharp in my head while I am admiring this photo.
I like the way the people are placed in a circle. The coloured fenches give the photo some more color.
Thanks for sharing!
(I will come back)

Bonjour Wes
Ce quartier est plus joli que celui où j'habite; c'est pour cela que je publie pas de photos.
La composition est appréciable et chaque personnage est parfaitement positionné.
Je note une bonne maîtrise de l'exposition.
Hello Wes This district is prettier than that where I live; therefore I do not publish photographs of it.
The composition is appreciable and each character is positioned perfectly. I note a good control of the exposure.

Hi Wes. A nice shot of relaxation. Good angle on these musicians in the shade. I like the way the colourful playground in the background brings out the colours in the foreground. Great composition. Thanks.
