Oceanside Beach Photo

Photographer’s Note

The shores of the Pacific Ocean are spectacular almost everywhere but this scene caught my attention recently as I walked a rock berm that extends into the ocean at Oceanside, California. The swimmers and beach goers seem oblivious to the pending night. I particularly liked the warm glow of the setting sun against the rocks and the distant shore.

You're right -- the sunset is fabulous for colouring these rocks and the crests of the waves.

Great shot! I like the way the stones in the foreground have the same tilt and angle as the waves behind them, so you have them reinforcing each other. Nice lighting too, giving this a golden glow. Well done!

I like very much this composition. The rocks in the foreground emphasize the perspective very well and give sense to the background. Mainly I like the light. The light is absolutely beautiful: warm, very well saturated. Amazing! Thanks.

Not enough critiques for this picture but your composition is very well done by the side lights gives a 3D effect, very nice for the foreground.
