Photographer’s Note

We'd been driving all day in the grey gloom, but as we drove over a hill in Napa County, heading back towards the valley, the clouds parted to reveal a bit of blue sky.

I have obviously adjusted the levels a little bit but the place was so magical, this is an attempt to capture that magic. In my mind's eye, this is what it looked like. I adjusted only levels, with very little sharpening of the foreground.

Its really fantastic shot.Wow what a gr8 way to shot a horizon. You have nicely took the shot along with the color. Nice pov and a very good composition.

Beautiful layered sky with really nice colors. It provides a really good contrast with the dark green foliage of the hills. I like how you've also captured a little hint of water in one of the valleys, too. Well done.
